What is ROSS 1000

ROSS 1000 is the suite of digital modules and services developed by Gies to connect Public Administrations with accommodation facilities.
It has been selected by the Ministry of Tourism as the national reference system for the standardization of statistical data collection methods in the tourism sector (MIBACT: Program Agreement Action 4).

The application supports the National Statistical Program and was the first national IT system to define a standard model and procedure for the collection and processing of data relating to tourism demand and supply.

ROSS 1000 | The Digital Tourism Observatory

ROSS 1000 is an integrated and dynamic system that allows for the real-time collection of data and monitoring of tourist flows, providing indicators of interest both for accommodation facilities and for the Institution.
Thanks to the program, it is possible to collect quantitative and qualitative characteristics, which make it possible to profile tourists and carry out territorial analyses to be translated into policies for the promotion and enhancement of tourist destinations.

ROSS 1000 | Simplification and automation of management processes

The program guarantees a simplification and a greater efficiency in the management of administrative-bureaucratic procedures by the Entities. Moreover, it supports accommodation facilities in their daily activities, optimizes management processes, offering benchmarking functions, statistical analysis and forecast analysis through the reservations entered by the facility.

ROSS 1000 | A virtuous example of collaboration between public and private sectors

Currently, 11 Regions in Italy share the same method of collecting qualitative and quantitative tourist flow data through ROSS 1000, and over 70% of the accommodation facilities in the national territory use it daily for data transmission.

In this virtuous chain, software developers for accommodation facility management contribute to optimizing this data collection model. The program is currently integrated with more than 130 software houses in Italy and worldwide.
